Can we just talk about the job market?

It's terrible. Once more for the people in the back:
IT. IS. TERRIBLE.
How are we supposed to prove how awesome we are for a particular post on LinkedIn when there are over a hundred applicants?
If I am a recruiter or a decision maker - I would be frustrated. Wait, frustrated is not the right word. Tired? Annoyed? Overwhelmed? Concerned?
These might be the right words.
The thing I am finding is that the soft skills that some of us "seasoned" applicants have are missed on the AI screening. Don't get me wrong...ChatGPT is my best friend. But AI has yet to capture my character, my drive, and my loyalty.
What do we do next? Yup, I am talking to our older 40 crowd navigating a career pivot. I don't know! And I don't know because, outside of my part-time consulting clients, I haven't been able to break through to the jobs I am applying for. And, at this time, it's well past the 100 mark.
Woof.
If someone has tips: share with us, Or, keep them to yourself so you can land that role that matters. Just don't forget about those of us that are in the wind, trying to figure out how to pay the bills.
Come on world, throw us a bone.
Your friend,
Job Seekers that RULE but can't reach a human.
